?Traveller question
How much does a worldwide eSIM actually cost?
ZZesimer travel team
Less than most people expect. The cheapest Global plan right now is $10.01 for 1 GB a day for 1 day — plenty if you mostly need maps, WhatsApp and the odd search. Heavy scroller or planning to hotspot your laptop? Go bigger — plans here go up to 20 GB, and topping up later takes about a minute from your account.
?Traveller question
Is an eSIM really better than just roaming on a long trip?
ZZesimer travel team
For most travellers, honestly, yes. Roaming bundles from home carriers tend to be small, expensive, or both — and the scary part is what happens after the bundle runs out. A prepaid eSIM can't surprise you: you pay once, you know exactly what you get, and your normal SIM stays active for calls and texts. The only time I'd say skip the eSIM is if your home plan genuinely includes your whole route at no extra cost.
?Traveller question
Which plan makes sense for a multi-country trip?
ZZesimer travel team
Depends how long you're out, but the 1 GB for 7 days option at $10.35 is the one I'd start with. One eSIM, no swapping anything at borders — it just reconnects to a partner network in each covered country. Check the coverage list on the plan before you buy and make sure every stop on your route is on it.
